THE TROPICAL STORM'S HISTORY
This storm was not as powerful, and a very close call to being named. Barry made landfall as a Tropical Storm near Tampico, Mexico, causing torrential rainfall, flash flooding, and strong winds. Barry quickly disorganized as it moved inland, but his remnants still posed a threat to life and property as it hit central Mexico's mountains.
